The HeatStraD at DKT2018 in Nuremberg

We listen to your product.
This is our slogan for the DKT 2018 in Nuremberg this year.

This applies in particular for our vulcanization oven HeatStraD (Heating Strategy Developer).
With this device we are able to analyse in detail the energy absorption of a product and the heat distribution in it. This enables the comparison and analysis of product reactions regarding sole energy sources and energy intensities.  It also offers the opportunity to examine the reaction of the product to the interactions of the different energy sources.

Gerlach HeatStraD DKT2018

You get answers on important questions as to operation and process optimization, i.a.:

  • Are you sure that your product always gets the exact amount of energy for the best possible curing?
  • Does an EPDM react other than an NBR and how can we response process-wise?
  • What are the process parameters to adjust the hardness of a sponge rubber?
  • When do we get the most efficient level of the microwave power?
  • Why one uses infrared radiation at all?

There are a lot of further questions to ask that we would be pleased to answer. Please visit us on our booth on the DKT 2018 from the 2nd to the 5th of July. Find out more about the large amount of possible applications of our HeatStraD (i.a. the optimization of existing curing processes or the simulation of a vulcanization plant) as well as its promising impact on your products.

Additional highlights on the DKT 2018

A world’s first in the rubber industry: We do not simply present our HeatStraD on the DKT 2018 fair. We have prepared a very special version for you. The HeatStraD is equipped with a novel kind of microwave which is unique in the continuous processing of elastomers. What is it that makes it new and unique? We love to explain that to you on our booth or after the exhibition in a one-on-one conversation.
