New Options for the pull-off caterpillar type BA 400

The pull-off caterpillar model BA 400 shown on the DKT 2018 from the 2^nd to 5^th July this year in Nuremberg, is a further development of the product series BA 400. This model line is to be used in the rubber processing as well as in the plastics industry.

The BA 400 had been developed as highly precise and safe haul-off unit for the continuous pull-off of endless produced goods like plastic or rubber profiles (with or without steel reinforcement), hoses or belts.

The caterpillar complies with all relevant safety regulations in accordance with EU directives. It is designed to protect man and machine against injuries and damages.

Beside the selective right-hand or left-hand motion, the accurate speed regulation of the servo drive (offering pull-off speed from 0 to 60 m/min.), optional with a sag control, the machine offers a variety of useful extras. This includes a state-of-the-art touch panel operation, retractable machine feet and a data storage for reproducible machine settings.

Novelties on this year’s exhibition

With the model that we show you on the DKT 2018 we present a fairly new and particular feature:

The machine contains a force measurement to indicate the real force that is used to pull-off the product. This is an excellent function for the adherence to dimensional accuracies. It directly shows the operator that the force affecting the product, works within the limits.

The complete functional range is achieved, when you switch over to the force regulation.

This feature permits you to fix a certain pull-off force that will be controlled by the PLC and which will be followed by the machine automatically.

With the pull-off force regulation a gentle drawing of the product can be ensured.
