Gerlach Manufactures Vulcanization Equipment

For more than 40 years, Gerlach Maschinenbau GmbH, recently partnered with TROESTER (Booth #1636), has developed and manufactured sophisticated vulcanization equipment and has established a leading position as a global technology leader in hot-air vulcanization with and without microwave technology for rubber and silicone profiles.

As a main emphasis, Gerlach machines are used for the ultra-fast curing of sealing profiles consisting of varying rubber and silicone compounds in the automotive, industrial, architectural and underground engineering industry. Well-known customers successfully manufacture products globally with their environmentally-friendly machines.

The result of our company philosophy is environmentally-friendly and technologically mature  machines with excellent energy efficiency achieved by a brilliant heat transfer, made with exceptional quality and having a long time stable value. Everything is „Made In Germany.“

Our machine portfolio comprises all machines which are required for the vulcanization of profiles with hot-air technology.

The modular design of the machines in 3 meter (10 foot) segments allows an easy extension or shortening of the machines to react flexibly to changing customer demands.

The main machines are:

• In-feed conveyor – pre-shock units for rapid curing with varying heat intensities.
• Shock channels with and without microwave support and temperatures up to 5500C (1,0000F) to achieve a rapid pre-cure and brilliant surface properties for sponge profiles (skin).
• Hot-air channels to uphold temperature, drying channels with infrared support.
• All shock and hot-air channels work with the air circulation principle and can be equipped with the Pollution Control Technology (PCT). This development resulted in Gerlach receiving the innovation prize of the German state of Northrhine Westphalia.

In addition, the delivery program includes cooling channels with profile drying and multi-purpose caterpillars for continuous profile transportation, as well as various auxiliary machines.

All machines are individually tuned to the customer’s requirements and are available in UL or CE standard. Gerlach Maschinenbau GmbH is DIN EN ISO 9001 certified. A s a globally active company, we are present at all international trade shows to present our innovations.

Besides the headquarters in Germany, Gerlach is also represented in North America (USA, Canada, Mexico), Europe (Italy, France), as well as Asia (Japan, Thailand, China), and has other successful international customer relations.
